Its design incorporates extensive research into best practices in building and workplace design through extensive benchmarking of the world’s top academic, research, and corporate facilities.   Learn more about what we do in Houston here.     What Role You Will Play In Our Team Exxon Mobil Corporation is seeking an attorney to provide advice and counsel regarding labor and employment legal matters with a focus on managing employment litigation. The attorney will handle a variety of matters and work independently with supervision that is appropriate for the attorney’s level of experience.    What Will You Do Actively manage litigation matters and steward litigation strategy, with an emphasis on employment and related business disputes. Advise business clients regarding potential litigation risks, strategies, and damages related to employment discrimination laws, employee benefits disputes, contract, tort, non-compete/non-solicitation, and other legal and equitable remedies, as well as direct and oversee court filings and attend appearances in proceedings. Support and supervise outside counsel as appropriate Provide advice regarding the implications of new or existing employment laws substantially impacting the Company Provide legal analysis and counsel on employment matters including, but not limited matters involving Title VII, ADEA, ADA, FMLA, ERISA, and FLSA Advise clients in conducting employment-related investigations and support investigations of charges of discrimination filed with the EEOC and prepare position statements on behalf of the Company Prepare and review presentations and other documents associated with the above matters   About You Skills and Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school Strong college and law school class performance (top 1/3 of class preferred) Licensed to practice law in at least one state (Texas Bar membership strongly preferred) Strong research and writing skills Strong interpersonal and communications skills Reputation for high ethical standards and integrity  Strong analytical skills and ability to exercise sound business judgmentAbility to work independently but also as a member of an integrated legal team to contribute collaboratively Ability to travel as needed Ability to work effectively with a highly diverse, global law department Minimum of five (5) years of legal experience, all (or substantially all) of which is in the area of labor and employment law in a law firm, corporation, agency, or court/judicial clerkship is strongly preferred Minimum of three (3) years of experience litigating Labor and Employment matters is strongly preferred   Your Benefits An ExxonMobil career is one designed to last.
